Q3/08 - EU-tender for server technology

• BES.t wins European tender for the new server technology for the new head office of the Mid Saxony County in Freiberg. (Mid Saxony County)
         
• With support from Hewlett-Packard HP-UX a server cluster for Oracle databases and a blade system has been put in operation. As the central data system, a Fibre Channel-based SAN storage for the operating systems of HP-UX and Windows under VMware has been implemented. Die automatic backup and restore is realised by HP Data Protector on a FC-based tape library.
